I hate the pessimistic idea that not much is going to change for women in our lifetime. Just this year, they started using female crash dummy models to test car safety. 2nd wave feminists saw the birth of “ptsd” as a mental disorder capable of impacting rape victims instead of just soldiers. 2nd wave feminists saw roe v wade, the right for women to open our own bank accounts, and federal acknowledgement of domestic violence and marital rape.
Feminists worked hard for women to grow up with the rights that we do have. We can keep doing that. We can change the world. I’m so confident in this that it underscores all of my other beliefs. We can do it!
And it would be an incredible disservice to young girls to grow up in a world where women just gave up since “women will never be free”

there are certainly some inaccuracies present (mostly that yeti crabs typically eat bacteria that grow on their hairy claws rather than marine snow) but we can take some artistic liberties for the sake of fun!
